Investment Guide

Clear about investment

Belonging Before Barriers believes organisations should be able to understand the likely investment before committing to a detailed conversation.

Some BBB services begin with a clearly defined scope. Others depend on the size of the organisation, complexity of the work, number of participants, materials involved and level of customisation required.

The starting investments below are intended to provide an initial guide. Before work begins, you will receive written confirmation of the agreed scope, deliverables, responsibilities, timeframe and total fee.

Starting Point Consultation

A focused place to begin

$285

You do not need to know which BBB service you need before getting in touch.

The Starting Point Consultation is a structured 75-minute conversation designed to clarify the current issue, identify likely priorities and determine the most useful next step.

This may include:

  • A 75-minute consultation

  • Clarification of the current challenge, service idea or organisational need

  • Initial identification of priorities

  • Guidance on the most appropriate BBB service pathway

  • A short written summary of suggested next steps

Best suited to:

  • Organisations uncertain where to begin

  • Founders trying to organise an early service idea

  • Leaders considering several competing priorities

  • Community groups exploring a possible project

  • Potential clients who want practical guidance before committing to a larger engagement

CREATE

Pilot investment from $3,200

For organisations with a valuable idea that needs to become a structured, deliverable and measurable service or program.

A defined starting engagement may include:

What you are investing in

A structured and implementation-ready version of an idea that may currently exist across conversations, notes or disconnected planning materials.

CREATE helps connect purpose, participant experience, operations and evaluation before significant time and resources are committed to delivery.

What affects the final investment?

Every BBB engagement is designed around an agreed purpose and scope.

Scope

The service, organisational area, program or participant journey included in the engagement.

Complexity

The number of systems, documents, stakeholders, decisions and service touchpoints involved.

Customisation

The amount of tailored analysis, facilitation, preparation and resource development required.

Delivery

Session length, participant numbers, location, travel and facilitator requirements.

Outputs

The depth of reports, frameworks, templates, recommendations, roadmaps and implementation materials required.

Access and Community Pricing

Practical options for purpose-led work

BBB recognises that smaller community organisations, emerging initiatives and grassroots projects may have limited resources.

Where capacity allows, BBB may offer:

  • A reduced-scope engagement

  • Staged delivery

  • Milestone payments

  • A pilot or community rate

  • Grant-funded delivery

  • Partnership-based project development

These arrangements are limited and considered according to the scope, available capacity and intended community benefit.

A reduced fee should not require an organisation to accept an unclear or incomplete service. Where the available budget does not support the original scope, BBB will explore whether the engagement can be redesigned around a smaller but still useful outcome.

Pricing Information

All prices are shown in Australian dollars.

Starting prices reflect the defined entry scopes described above. The final fee may change where the agreed engagement requires greater complexity, customisation, consultation, travel or additional deliverables.

Additional work will not be undertaken without discussion and written agreement.

Before work begins, a written proposal will confirm:

  • The purpose and scope

  • Included deliverables

  • Client and BBB responsibilities

  • Project timeframe

  • Consultation and delivery arrangements

  • Total fee

  • Payment stages

  • Any agreed exclusions or additional costs

Not sure which option fits?

You do not need to diagnose the organisational problem or select a service before contacting BBB.

Tell us what is happening, what you would like to improve and what a useful outcome might look like. We can help clarify the starting point and determine whether BBB is the right fit.
